IRGC And Their Plot to Assassinate an American Journalist on U.S. Soil
DOJ arrest three in connection to IRGC's plot to assassinate American journalist Masih Alinejad. The Bible vs the Qur'an. The importance of using God's words vs Muhammad's.
Americans have been receiving warnings for quite some time about the dangers that Iran’s IRGC imposes on their safety, yet it seems these warnings go largely unnoticed, unrealized in their severity, or completely unreceived. Despite last year’s brutal, but thankfully failed, assassination attempt on author Salman Rushdie in New York, the failed assassination plots that targeted Bolton and Pompeo, and, of course, the never-ending threats of violence and death toward President Trump, the mass majority of Americans remain clueless that these threats aren’t just very real, they have been increasing in frequency and boldness.
This past Friday, the DOJ announced that arrests had been made in yet another assassination plot targeting a United States citizen. The target of the assassination plot was also identified as American journalist Masih Alinejad. Masih is a famed Iranian-American journalist who has written articles and has been publically outspoken against the atrocities perpetrated by the IRGC, including alleged human rights abuses and political suppression, and most recently by creating awareness and being a voice for those fighting not only for freedom but for their lives during the current protest in Iran. Jake Sullivan added in a statement, “It follows a disturbing pattern of Iranian Government-sponsored efforts to kill, torture, and intimidate into silence activists for speaking out for the fundamental rights and freedoms of Iranians around the world.”
My support goes out to Masih as I continue to pray for her protection, as I am also sure this will not be their last attempt. Islamic jihad may be thwarted, but it never is truly stopped. Now is when more and more of us need to stand up and speak out, demanding that more be done in this matter and that all negotiations, financing, and ties with the IRGC be cut immediately and completely. Sadly, but somewhat understandably, I see that we will start to see fewer and fewer individuals willing to take the risk to speak up for those who are unable, fewer that will stand firm in exposing Islam for what it truly is, a cult, a satanic ideology.
I may be able to understand, but I could never allow myself to remain silent on these issues, as I could never remain silent about the demonic corruption of our culture and the perverting of our children. The risk of remaining silent is far too great, second only to the risk of remaining silent instead of sharing the gospel.
Ezekiel 33:6
“But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.”
As Islam permeates its way through America, it’s the word of God that needs to be preached, shared, and studied. As a Christian, knowing the Qur’an is great, as one should always seek knowledge, especially when it comes to knowing the enemy, but obviously, it will only get you so far.
The Qur’an doesn’t have the power that the Bible has. Whereas the Qur’an is completely blasphemous and powerless, the Bible is the living word of God, our two-edged sword in this spiritual battle. The word of God has been proven true, accurate, and without error. Now more than ever, Muslims need to hear the Gospel to know that their works are effortless in their salvation. That any last-minute jihad in their lives offers no guarantee of salvation. In contrast, they are being offered a guarantee of salvation and the forgiveness of sins because Christ has already paid the wages due for the sins they have committed, the lies, the blasphemes, the idolatry, the adultery (simply lusting after another is adultery in the heart and a sin every person has committed at least once).
Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
As many simply remain Christian in name only, lacking repentance, salvation, and daily time in God’s word, let alone even giving it a single thought, there are also many Muslims in name only, lacking in their works and their Qur’anic knowledge. If the recent rise in Muslims coming to Christ in Iran, either by way of social media, dreams, or underground ministries, shows us anything, it’s that there is a thirst for the living water that Jesus, our Lord, and Savior, has to offer.
John 7:37-39
“On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! 38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”[a] 39 (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given,[b] because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)”
Some will claim that it is the job of the pastor at a church to read the Qur’an and teach his congregation about what it truly states, but this just isn’t true. Does it help to have such knowledge? It does. Does it help in evangelism? Of course, it does. What these people miss is that the Pastor’s job is to guide the congregation in spiritual growth and understanding of the word of God-not the Qur’an. In all actuality, one who is deeply rooted in the Bible has no need for Qur’anic knowledge. The pastors and their churches that are succumbing to the new “Tri-faith” that paints a new illusion that the world can flourish from a mixture of Catholicism/Christianity (of which the two are not the same), Jews, and Islam, don’t lack knowledge of the Qur’an, they lack knowledge and faith rooted in the world of God.
1 Peter 5:1-2
“The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind”
I am grateful for the work that Masih has done, is doing, and will continue to do (as I am sure she is not one that will go stop and go silent); I am extremely glad that this attempt on her life was prevented from taking place. I am grateful for those that educate others on what Islam’s unholy book, their laws, and hadiths say because that illusion of Islam being a religion of peace needs to be shattered, but there comes a time when too much of that time is spent teaching others and getting them to read the Qur’an (some are suggesting that parents not only read it but have their children read it as well) and little time spent teaching them to read and learn from the word of God. In my opinion, we are best to just burn the satanic book, but I do pose a few questions: What good does gaining Qur’anic knowledge do if there is an absence of Christ? It’s a sad thing when one spends more time in the words of Muhammad than the word of God.
